European Championships - The RESULTS! Date :: 27/04/2008    Posted by :: Phil Thomas Thank you and well done to all Students participating in the European Championships: Phil Turner performed exceptionally well, with very good Scores in the Patterns division. Mr Joe Moya, Yricka Gardner and Eva McCann ALL reached the finals in the Sparring Competition. Mr Moya fought in what is renowned as the Toughest division - Mens Heavyweight Black Belt - Joe Fought superbly and just missed out on Gold, winning the SILVER medal! Yricka reached the final also and again just missed out on Gold, but a superb result in gaining the SILVER medal. Not happy with one medal, Yricka`s training and perseverance come to fruition as she also won SILVER in the patterns division. Eva completed a hat trick for the club by becoming the 3rd Student to reach the sparring finals - Eva fought some very hard rounds and through determination and indomitable spirit was rewarded with the GOLD medal and is now European Champion! A big thank you must go to Mr Moya, for his hard work, effort and outstanding dedication and commitment in not only his personal training and achievements, but in his inspiration to all in the club.
